CHEN Binbin



 

Dr. Bin-Bin CHEN is currently a professor and head of the Department of Psychology at the School of Social Development and Public Policy, Fudan University. He was a visiting scholar at Cambridge University and a visiting fellow at Hughes College. He was selected as one of the top 2% of scientists in the world and won the SRCD Asian Caucus Early Career Award. His main research areas include human evolution and development. His recent research topics include parenting behavior and parental burnout, family education in multi-child families, positive development of children and adolescents, student academic engagement and procrastination, and the evolutionary mechanism of childhood disadvantage. Related papers have been published in peer-reviewed journals such as Child Development, Developmental Psychology, Journal of Adolescent Health, Clinical Child and Family Psychology Review, Evolution and Human Behavior, and Acta Psychologica Sinica. He has written books such as The Second Child, Family, Friendship, and Love from the Perspective of Evolutionary Psychology, and Writing and Publishing English Papers in Psychology. He serves as the associate editor of the Journal of Research on Adolescence and is an editorial board member of domestic and international academic journals such as Psychological Science, International Journal of Behavioral Development, and Social Development.
