LEI Xu is a professor and doctoral supervisor at the Department of Psychology, Southwest University, and a young top-notch talent of the national “Ten Thousand Talents Program”. He is also a distinguished professor of "Bayu Scholars" in Chongqing, a recipient of the “Top Ten Science and Technology Youth Award” in Chongqing, and a recipient of the “Hanxiang Young Scientist Award” from the Cognitive Neuroscience Specialty Committee of the Chinese Psychological Society. Currently, he serves as the director of the Sleep and Neuroimaging Center at Southwest University, the deputy director of the Youth Working Committee of the Chinese Sleep Research Society, and the deputy director of the Cognitive Neuroscience Specialty Committee of the Chinese Psychological Society. He is also the associate editor of PsyCh Journal, and an editorial board member of five journals, including Psychological Science, Cognitive Neurodynamics, and Scientific Data. His main research area is cognitive neuroscience, with research interests including the neural mechanisms underlying the interaction between sleep and emotional memory, the pathogenesis and clinical intervention of sleep disorders, and multimodal neuroimaging techniques for sleep. He currently leads multiple national key research and development programs, 863 Program projects, and National Natural Science Foundation of China projects. He has published over 200 papers in international journals such as Nature Communication and Sleep Medicine Reviews, with an H-index of 45. He has obtained 4 invention patents and 5 software registrations.
