Yangmei LUO holds the position of Professor at the School of Psychology, Shaanxi Normal University, and also serves as the Vice Dean. His research interests lie in social cognition and emotion. His research is supported by the Program of the National Social Science Fund, the Youth Program of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, among others.

He has published several papers in academic journals, such as Social Psychological and Personality Science, Acta Psychologica Sinica, and Journal of Psychological Science. His research achievements have been recognized with the Youth Achievement Award at the 9th Outstanding Research Achievement in Higher Education (awarded by the Ministry of Education).

He has been selected as a Young Top-notch Talent under the Shaanxi Provincial Special Support Program. Additionally, he is a member of the National Advisory Committee on Student Mental Health (Ministry of Education) and a Council Member of the Chinese Association of Social Psychology.
