
Dr. Junhao PAN is a Professor in the Department of Psychology at Sun Yat-sen University, where he also serves as a Doctoral Supervisor and holds the position of Yixian Scholar. Additionally, he is the Deputy Director of the Department of Psychology and a member of both the Science and Technology Association Committee and the Academic Committee of the Social Sciences Division at Sun Yat-sen University. Dr. Pan is on the editorial boards of Psychological Science (in Chinese), Chinese Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Pacific Rim Psychology, and Structural Equation Modeling: A Multidisciplinary Journal.
Dr. Pan earned his Ph.D. in Statistics from The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2009. That same year, he joined Sun Yat-sen University through the "Hundred Talents Program" and became a faculty member in the Department of Psychology. His research primarily focuses on improving and developing statistical methods for latent variable models. In recent years, his work has concentrated on Bayesian Structural Equation Models and the integration of Bayesian regularization techniques with latent variable models. His research has been published in prominent international and domestic journals, including Psychological Methods, Psychometrika, Structural Equation Modeling: A Multidisciplinary Journal, Psychological Science (in Chinese), and Advances in Psychological Science (in Chinese).
Dr. Pan has led several national-level research projects, including those funded by the National Natural Science Foundation and the Ministry of Education's Humanities and Social Sciences Research Planning Fund. He was honored with the 8th Outstanding Achievement Award in Higher Education Science Research (Humanities and Social Sciences) — Youth Achievement Award by the Ministry of Education.
