
Dr. Ning HAO is a professor and doctoral supervisor, currently serving as the Deputy Dean of the School of Psychology and Cognitive Science at East China Normal University. Recognized as a Young Changjiang Scholar by the Ministry of Education, a Shanghai Dawn Scholar, and a Zijiang Outstanding Young Scholar at East China Normal University, he has made significant contributions to creativity research. His work explores interdisciplinary topics such as inter-brain neural dynamics in group creativity, the cognitive neuroscience of malevolent creativity, human-AI collaboration in innovation, the role of emotion in creative cognition, and the embodied nature of creativity. He serves as an associate editor for the Journal of Psychological Science and the Journal of Creativity. He has secured multiple research grants, including three from the National Natural Science Foundation of China, three from the Ministry of Education, and two from Shanghai’s Philosophy and Social Science Planning Office. His findings have been published in top-tier journals such as Psychological Review, Neuroscience & Biobehavioral Reviews, Journal of Neuroscience, NeuroImage, Cerebral Cortex, and Acta Psychologica Sinica.
