LIN Xiuyun




Dr. Xiuyun LIN is a Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at the Faculty of Psychology, Beijing Normal University (BNU). She is a recipient of the Yong Yangtze River Scholars by the Ministry of Education and a Distinguished Professor at BNU. She serves as the Lead Principal Investigator for a Major National Social Science Fund Project in Education, an Innovative Leading Talent in Central Universities’ Scientific Research, and an Outstanding Young Scientist among Beijing Higher Education Institutions.
She holds the position of Vice Principal for Psychological Affairs at the Experimental Primary School of BNU. She is also a Council Member of the Chinese Psychological Society (CPS) and a Standing Director of the China Healthy Birth Association, where she chairs the Child Growth and Education Committee. Additionally, she serves as the Deputy Director and Secretary-General of the Marriage and Family Psychology & Counseling Committee of CPS, the Deputy Director of the Marriage and Family Committee of the Chinese Society for Social Psychology, and the Council Member and Deputy Secretary-General of the School Educational Psychology Division of the Chinese Society of Education. She is also involved in the Marriage and Family Health Promotion Committee and the Registration Committee of the Chinese Mental Health Association.
Prof. Lin is an Associate Editor or Editorial Board Member for several prestigious journals, including Psychological Science, Psychological Development and Education, and Journal of Applied Psychology. She has led over 20 national and provincial-level research projects, including Major and Key Projects of the National Social Science Fund and General Projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China. Lin’s Lab research focuses on Family and Child health, Developmenal Psychopathology, with more than 180 academic papers published in domestic and international journals, such as NeuroImage,Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Mental Health. She has also authored over 20 books as the first author.
