
Zhihong REN is Associate Dean of the School of Psychology at Central China Normal University and a Professor and Doctoral Supervisor; he is a Distinguished “Guizi Scholar” Professor and a recipient of the Ministry of Education Young Changjiang Scholar award, and is currently seconded by the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee to the School of Psychology at Liaoning Normal University. His research and practice focus on digitally enabled, evidence-based psychological interventions and precision treatment matching (treatment efficacy and mechanisms; psychosocial interventions in major public health emergencies). He has led over 30 nationally funded projects, including Major and Key Projects of the National Social Science Fund of China, a project under the National Key R&D Program, and General Projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and has published more than 140 peer-reviewed journal articles. He is a recipient of the First Prize of the Fok Ying-Tong Education Foundation Award for Young Teachers in Higher Education, a Registered Supervisor of the Chinese Psychological Society, and a first-cohort Registered Supervisor of the Chinese Association for Mental Health. He currently serves as Vice Chair of the Clinical and Counseling Psychology Committee of the Chinese Psychological Society, a member of the Academic Committee of the Chinese Association for Mental Health, a member of the Registration Committee of Clinical Psychology of the Chinese Psychological Society, and a member of the Mental Health Branch of the Chinese Preventive Medicine Association, and serves as an associate editor or editorial board member for multiple Chinese and international academic journals.
