ZHANG Xilin


ZHANG Xilin is a Professor and PhD supervisor at the School of Psychology, South China Normal University, and a recipient of the National Science Fund for Excellent Young Scholars. His research combines psychophysics, brain imaging, computational modeling, and artificial neural networks to investigate the neural mechanisms of visual perception, attention, consciousness, learning, and memory. He has published as first or corresponding author in leading journals including Neuron, Nature Communications, PNAS, Current Biology, PLoS Biology, Cell Reports, and eLife. He currently serves as Associate Editor of PsyCh Journal, Frontiers in Neuroimaging and Psychological Science (Chinese), Section Editor of Cognitive Science Research, and editorial board member of eLife, Brain Science and Child Development, and Acta Psychologica Sinica. He is also a Young Editorial Board Member of Science China: Life Sciences and Brain-X, and serves on several committees of the Chinese Society for Cognitive Science and the Chinese Psychological Society. He has received several honors, including the Guangdong Provincial Philosophy and Social Science Excellent Achievement Award, the CNS-GSK Rising Star Award, the APS Rising Star Award, and the First Prize of the Ministry of Education Award for Outstanding Scientific Research Achievements in Natural Sciences.
